Ski pass purchase
Depending on snow and weather conditions, sales of ski passes valid for the Hintertux Glacier may be restricted to the ticket counters of the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn in Hintertux. At times when the lifts are NOT open for descent into the valley due to snow conditions, ski passes are valid for ONLY for ONE ascent into the ski area! Pedestrian passes are only available to guests without winter sport equipment.
Payment:
Cash or Eurocheque card (Maestro), Visa and Mastercards are accepted!
Access system using contactless Chip Cards:
A deposit of 2,- euros is charged for the chip card, which will be refunded in full when you return the undamaged card to one of our drop-off points.
Discounts and refunds:
In the event of injury or illness we will refund the value of the pass from the last day on which it was used. For this purpose a physician‘s note confirming your injury or illness must be presented. No refund will be made for lost ski passes. No refund or extension will be granted for bad weather, wind/storm, avalanche danger, unforeseen early departure, interruption in operations, closed slopes etc.
Reductions for children and youth: ID necessary!
Reductions for handicapped (60% handicap) are available on presentation of a suitable certificate. Please ask about group reductions.
Skipass rules
When using the lifts and cable cars you must have a valid ski pass. The ski pass is non-transferrable and can not be exchanged. In order to ensure the safety of all our guests ski passes can be revoked without refund if the holder grossly infringes the slope rules, does not heed closed-off areas or the instructions of the slope patrol service. If misused, all types of tickets will be withdrawn without compensation. Ski passes are valid only on consecutive days, and the period of validity may not be interrupted (except for optional ski passes). Austrian law shall apply. Furthermore, Austrian cable-car carriage terms and conditions and FIS rules shall apply as the basis for conduct on the ski runs.
Information on ‘Photocompare’ in accordance with § 24 DSG (data protection act)
Please note that for purposes of lift access control a reference photograph of the lift pass holder will be taken when he/she passes through a turnstile equipped with a camera for the first time. The lift operating staff will compare this reference photo with those photographs that are taken every time the lift pass holder passes through a turnstile equipped with a camera. The reference photograph will be deleted from the system immediately upon expiry of the validity of the lift pass; the other photographs will be deleted from the system no later than 30 minutes after passing through the respective turnstile. We would like to point out that it is also possible to purchase lift passes that are configured in such a way that no photograph is taken upon passing through the turnstiles. Holders of such lift passes, however, must take into account that spot checks will be carried out by members of the lift operating staff. “Conveyance on the lift is permitted after passing through the access control system. Data on the access location sites and numbers of persons passing through are saved solely for calculation purposes and only then when necessary for contractual fulfilment reasons.”
