Especially in spring and fall, when the season hasn't even started elsewhere or is long over, Hintertux Glacier offers ski and snowboard fun with breathtaking views. Thanks to its high altitude, snow is guaranteed on Hintertux Glacier from October to May.

Early Autumn
on Hintertux Glacier
For all those who can't get their skis out of the cellar early enough, early fall offers the opportunity for an early start into the season. The first snow in the high mountains, combined with colder nights, usually kick off fall-season. Now, trained racers and passionate skiers stand on the mountain with broad grins on their faces.
Late autumn / winter
at Hintertux Glacier
In the course of the fall, more and more lifts and pistes open up on Hintertux Glacier and the area around the Sommerberg also starts operation. Now is the time for pleasure carvers. You can make the most of the full range of pistes and enjoy up to 64 kilometers of slopes between 3,250 m on top of the mountain to 1,500 m at the valley station. Even better, with December, you can use up to 206 kilometers of slopes in the Ski- & Glacier World Zillertal 3000.
Spring at
Hintertux Glacier
Glacier spring is considered the best time of the year at Hintertux Glacier. The changing course of the sun in combination with cool temperatures and plenty of snow from the winter ensures sun-drenched pistes and the best conditions.
Early summer
at Hintertux Glacier
When the ski areas have long since closed elsewhere, you can still make your tracks in the snow on the Hintertux Glacier. Especially in the morning, it's the ideal window for a few turns in the snow or a training session.
