How to get to the
training ground
You can get to the training area near Sommerberg by taking either the Gletscherbus 1 mountain railway or the 8er Sommerberg from the valley station.

Once you are on the mountain station of the first mountain railway, you go straight and find the funny express to your right after passing the Sommerberg restaurant. You go up there and find a flat area to get a feel for your skies or board.

Take blue slopes
where possible
Once you have gathered your first experiences, you can improve your skills on the blue slopes (easiest slope category). We recommend you to move next to the Ramsmoos lift. Once you are ready, the next step would be the blue slopes at the 4er Tuxerjoch.
How to get to the
training ground
You can get to the training lift for beginners at the Gletscherboden from the top of 10er Gefrorenrene Wand. In order to get there you can use Gletscherbus 1 and 2 and afterwards the 10er Gefrorene Wand.

From the top of 10er Gefrorene Wand you can easily get to the training area. There is a shuttle upon request for absolute beginners.
Please contact us in advance of your planned arrival or book a skiing instructor. We will organize operation of the lift for you.

Once you are a bit more advanced you can refine your technique on the blue slopes of the Olperer lifts.
How to get to the
training ground
You can get to the training lift for beginners at the mountain station of Gletscherbus 3. In order to get there you can use Gletscherbus 1 and 2 and afterward Gletscherbus 3. You pass through Sommerberg and the Tuxer Fernerhaus.
Training lift at the
mountain top
Once you are at the top of the mountain at the exit of Gletscherbus 3 you can already see the training lift. Please contact us in advance or book a training instructor. So we make sure that the lift is in operation.

Ski School
We recommend booking an experienced skiing instructor for the first couple of times you are on skies or on snowboard.
The Tuxertal Ski School has multiple offices at Hintertux glacier. We advise you to visit the one at the bottom station or give them a call to coordinate your training.
